Tucker Robbins

James Tucker Robbins (a.k.a. "Tucker"): While I am proud to be the latest in a long line of "James" in our family, for the sake of originality I am going to go by "Tucker" for now. Tucker the boy, not the car, the guy with the bow tie on Fox or the player of the year candidate from Wisconsin. With Parents from Baltimore, I'm just happy I didn't wind up with something too cutsie (Skip, Scooter, etc.) and/or androgynous (Carey, Casey, etc.).

Bouncy Seat

Here I am in the vibrating bouncy seat I borrowed from Cousin Jack. I love it. It is like a tiny version of the massage chair at Nora's. I'm not getting out any time soon. Get that camera out of my face lady - I'm here for the long haul.

Milk Coma

After a long day of shopping at Target (Mom loves those dollar bins) I had built up quite an appetite. Have you ever eaten so much that you pass out right there at the table? I do it eight to ten times a day.

I managed to remove my shoes and one of my socks (exposing the patented DiPentima "regulator foot"), so Dad says I was technically asleep, not passed out. I have no idea what he is talking about.

You're Taking Me Where?

Mom and Dad got me all bundled up for my first trip out in the neighborhood. They only told me AFTER I was buckled in that they were really taking me to my first Pediatrician's appointment.

They poked and prodded me, but said everything was in working order. That said, they want to see me again next week. What's up with that? Talk about milking the co-pays!

Once we finished up, they took me for my first trip to a restaurant. It was a new Kosher Deli that just opened near DuPont Circle. Dad said that it was pretty good by DC standards, but I am holding out for Attman's in Baltimore.

Oscar Night

Mom was very excited that the Oscars would be on TV our first night home from the hospital. Dad and I were less impressed.

Going Home

Here I am all bundled up for my big trip home from the hospital. It was a beautiful winter wonderland with the entire city blanketed in a few fresh inches of snow. I don't really know what snow is, but Dad seemed to think it was important for me to like it. Does this hat make me look like a smurf?

On the way home we stopped off at my Cousin Jack's first birthday party. Man that guy can throw down some cake!

Henry VIII

I have no idea who Henry VIII is, but Mom made some joke about him when she saw me posing with Dad and Grandpa. They said I am the last "Robbins" in the line - whatever that means.

Heeeeeeeere's Tucker!

Weighing in at 8lbs and 7oz, and measuring a full 20.5 inches long, I burst onto the scene at 9:46 P.M. on Friday, 2/23/07.
